“Everyone’s worried about the risks of a recession — not just a mild recession but a hard landing later in the year,” Marsh McLennan President and CEO John Doyle told Bloomberg TV. “Things look OK right now but it’s quite obvious that central banks’ top priority is tamping down inflation and that’s going to have an impact.”

Sam Glick, Global Leader for Health and Life Sciences at Oliver Wyman, gathered leaders from across the health ecosystem to explore the erosion in trust we’ve seen throughout the pandemic. The discussion covered new strategies required to build and maintain trust in healthcare, an industry not accustomed to influencers trumping institutions.

Ted Moynihan, Global Head of Industries for Oliver Wyman, spoke on "Transparency in Financial Services" at Blockchain Central Davos, hosted by the Global Blockchain Business Council. The sixth annual event brought together leaders across the blockchain, digital asset, technology and government sectors.

Digital Health Action
WEF is collaborating with Mercer to advance the Digital Health Action Alliance, an initiative exploring models to close the gap in premature deaths from non-communicable diseases like diabetes and hypertension. Lorna Friedman, Senior Partner for Health Transformation and Sustainability at Mercer, highlighted this work during an affiliate session at the Ice Village.

UN Refugee Agency
Oliver Wyman CEO Nick Studer hosted a discussion with the UNHCR on the launch of a Refugee Environmental Protection Fund to invest in reforestation and clean cooking programs in refugee situations globally. Oliver Wyman has supported some of the work underpinning the ideation and planning of the fund over the last year. Other partners are invited to join this transformative opportunity.
